February at Carolina Colours

January set a record for member events at the Pavilion, and February is off to an equally busy start.  Our first golf event of the year, a Three Club Tournament, is February 11.  The Pride volunteers resume golf course work February 6, following a wonderful kick-off breakfast the previous Monday.  Of course, MGA events occur each Wednesday morning, while the ladies in the LGA compete each Tuesday.

Yoga is every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings at the Pavilion.  No prior sign-up required.  Bunco, mah-jongg and bridge are all on the calendar, as are our Friday night dinners, except that instead of dinner on the 26th, a special Sunday soup supper event will take place.  Knitting and quilting classes continue.  On Friday, February 10, immediately preceding the social, a special speaker will appear in the Neuse Room to talk about a very significant historical legal case that had its roots in New Bern, a must for all history buffs, and those interested in learning  about New Bern’s past.

Our annual golf members’ meeting is scheduled for 4:30 on Friday, the 17th.  There is also a non-member church dinner on the 23rd, and a wdding on the 18th, along with a reception.

Super Bowl Party Deluxe

Chef Catherine outdid herself for the large crowd of Carolina Colours owners attending the Super Bowl party at the Pavilion.  With a New England and a New York menu, both with half a dozen items plus multiple desserts, even the Patriot fams went home satisfied (or at least full).  One of the best feasts ever for Carolina Colours property owners and guests!   And the giant projector screen and speakers worked flawlessly, to the great reflief of our general manager, Ken Gerhardt, who worked hours to get it up and running.
