On-site Community Amenities
Perhaps the best amenities are those that occur naturally. Blessed with a forested site, bisected by Brice Creek, and with abundant preserved wetlands and good topography, simply living within and moving throughout Carolina Colours is a pleasure. With community parks and natural areas set aside and providing great views of the 25 acre Carolina Lake, and with pedestrian, bike and golf cart routes readily available, one is likely to see more people than cars while strolling along.
The social and recreational center of Carolina Colours, and with architecture reminiscent of a traditional southern coastal living retreat, residents are constantly in and out. With some 17,000 square feet of heated space, plus patios that overlook the water that adjoins the 9th green of the golf course, it is easy to see why the Pavilion is such a popular gathering spot. With venues for many purposes, from large gatherings to small lectures, for individual fitness and organized activities, for socializing or having a drink, this multi-purpose facility, available to all owners, is the perfect complement to the casual coastal life style attractive to many.
Pick a tee from the available 6 to fit your game. Putt on large, perfect bent grass greens. From scratch to beginner, a fun challenge in a natural environment. Carolina Colours is not, and was never intended to be, a “Country Club.” However, its golf course would be the envy of many such clubs, as it is quickly becoming recognized as the best layout, with the best conditioned greens, in the region.
Pool, Tennis and Pickle Ball
With a zero entrance feature for easy access and sufficient swimming lanes for competition or lap swimming for exercise, and with shaded and unshaded lounging areas designed, swimmers and loungers alike enjoy this venue, just across the parking area from the Pavilion. And the first two tennis courts are soft and self-watering, to preserve the knees of the young and old alike. Our new pickle ball courts allow the country’s newest sports craze to be played by players both experienced and new.
The new Carolina Colours commercial center, anchored by Harris Teeter, an upscale 40,000+ square foot grocery, which opened in October 2016, provides a convenient way to shop without ever leaving Carolina Colours.
Bayberry Park Playground
Our children’s playground in Bayberry Park opened in 2015 and is proving a great venue for the children and grandchildren of our residents.
